Minoru Yasui Annual Charitable Giving

The American Inn of Court creed pledges to uphold the standards of the legal profession with dignity, civility, and courtesy, to show respect for the law and for each other, to value integrity in all endeavors, and to engage in public service.  Our members live this creed, while nurturing a unique spirt of friendship, collegiality, and mutual respect.

Every year, our members participate in charitable activities benefitting the Colorado community.  In 2010, our members adopted familes from the Denver Rescue Mission, and provided holiday meals and presents that our members selected, wrapped, and delivered.  Eleven families were able to celebrate their holiday thanks to our members' generosity.  We also provided five computers and monitors for the AHAN Learning Center in Engin, Myanmar, to honor and than our yearly Domo Restaurant host, Homma Sensei.

In 2011, our members cooked meals and provided gifts for Santa's Workshop, an event hosted annually by the Family Tree organization.  We also hosted a virtual food drive benefitting the Food Bank of the Rockies and were able to raise over $1,000.00.

In 2012, our Inn hosted a holiday drive benefiting Family Tree's Woman in Crisis Center.  Our members donated cash, gift cards, and many much-needed items for the domestic violence shelter.  In addition, our members contributed to a virtual food drive benefitting the Food Bank of the Rockies, raising over $1,100.00.

In 2013, our Inn donated $1,000.00 to orphanages in Myranmar. We also collected donations on behalf of Colorado flood victims during our October meeting.
